MEDIEVAL CITY OF RHODES
The Medieval City of Rhodes has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but this is not an ordinary monument. The wanderings in the narrow streets, the palace of the Grand Master, the Street of the Knights and the ancient statues, exude the medieval atmosphere and give you the feeling that you will face people from another era and the knights with their horses. This is a place where you will see countless attractions such as the Virgin of the Castle, the Archaeological Museum of Rhodes, the Clock Tower with the panoramic view of the Old Town, and the Suleiman Mosque.
DEER DAMA-DAMA
In Mandraki, the old port of Rhodes, there are two columns at the entrance topped by two bronze deer statues. They are one of the most famous and photographed sights of Rhodes, but also a symbol of the island. According to the tradition, they were brought there by the crusaders and it is believed that the Colossus of Rhodes used to rest on the spot where the pillars are located.
LINDOS
Lindos is a unique traditional settlement on the southeast side of Rhodes with a rich history. This village, built amphitheatrically on the hill, is the most popular of the island. The ancient Acropolis of Lindos dominates the rock above the settlement surrounded by the walls of the Knights with a delightful view of the Aegean. The narrow picturesque alleys are filled with visitors as the unique atmosphere of Lindos is a magnet for many tourists.
ANTHONY QUINN BEACH
This beach became famous from the filming of the movie "The Cannons of Navarone", in which the famous actor Anthony Quinn stars. It is a beautiful rocky natural landscape with pine trees, pebbles and crystal clear sea with blue-green waters. It has an exotic beauty.
FALIRAKI BEACH
A huge beach of 6.5 kilometers long with golden sand, sunbeds and umbrellas but there are also, unspoilt natural spots. It has crystal clear blue waters and many water activities, so it caters for every type of visitor.
BUTTERFLY VALLEY
The Valley of Butterflies is a natural park at a distance of 23 km from the city of Rhodes. It belongs to a Natura 2000 protected zone, together with the Seven Springs and the mountain of Prophet Ilias. In addition to its unparalleled natural beauty, it is the location of the only natural forest of Liquidambar Orientalis in Europe, and a resting place for Panaxia Quadripunctaria, a nocturnal butterfly that is very rare species and can be found in few parts of the planet. The idyllic and green park regenerates the mind and soul and is a unique experience!
