Supporting Healthcare in Alonissos

At SEAJETS, we remain consistently committed to strengthening island communities, with a particular focus on improving the daily lives of their residents. Recently, we were honored to support a vital initiative held on the island of Alonissos: a day offering free medical examinations to the local population.

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, 28 doctors representing 13 different medical specialties traveled to Alonissos and voluntarily offered their services, performing a total of 390 medical examinations for adults and children, individuals who would otherwise have had to travel to mainland Greece to access specialized healthcare.

Driven by a shared vision to enhance health services on the island and guided by collaboration and action, SEAJETS, Mr. Marios Iliopoulos, and the Municipality of Alonissos joined forces to bring this important health initiative to life, one that was officially launched on September 6 and is set to continue in the future.

This initiative was also made possible with the support of the Foundation of Health Operators of Love of the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias and Almyros, and with the participation of the Medical, Dental, and Pharmaceutical Associations of Magnesia.

Mr. Marios Iliopoulos, Strategic Planning & Development Executive of SEAJETS, who personally visited Alonissos, stated:

“My presence here today is a gesture of respect, love, and support for the people of Alonissos. SEAJETS always stands by island communities, not only with our vessels but with substance and meaningful actions that make, and will continue to make, a real difference. Prevention and access to quality healthcare are fundamental rights for everyone, and we are proud to have contributed to making this a reality for the people of Alonissos. Our commitment remains strong: to connect our islands and to support local communities in their needs. Health, Education, Sports, and Culture are top priorities for us, and they should be top priorities for every government around the world.”
