SEAJETS – Andros Challenge & Festival 2026: Sport, Culture and a Partnership with Lasting Impact

For the third year running, SEAJETS supported the Andros Challenge & Festival, one of the most dynamic sporting and cultural events in the Cyclades, reaffirming its steady commitment to initiatives that leave a meaningful and positive mark on local communities.

This partnership reflects SEAJETS’ philosophy in action: beyond connecting destinations, SEAJETS aims to connect people, initiatives, and local communities.

An Event Celebrating Sport, Community and the island of Andros

This year’s Andros Challenge & Festival took place from June 5–7, 2026, transforming the island into a meeting point for thousands of sports and nature enthusiasts. The event brought together trail running, road races and open-water swimming, offering a total of nine different courses set against the spectacular landscapes of Andros.

Popular activities that have already built a loyal following also returned this year, including Drink & Run, while a climbing wall for children and adults was added to the programme. Alongside the competitive events, music, traditional dances, local flavors, and activities for all ages gave the gathering the feel of a genuine festival.

The Pasta Parties in Ormos Korthiou, featuring local products and traditional flavours from Andros, along with the participation of the island’s cultural associations, brought sport closer to the culture and everyday life of the local community.

Over the years, the event has developed a distinctive identity that extends well beyond its sporting character. Its cultural and social dimension is equally important: part of the proceeds is donated to charitable causes, while parallel events, tastings and activities showcase the island’s traditions and renowned hospitality. Together, they create an experience that goes beyond the races themselves and becomes a celebration for the entire community.

A Partnership that grows year after year

This year's event, the third in the series, welcomed more than 1,000 athletes and thousands of visitors from all over Greece, recording the highest turnout in the event's history.

For an event held on an island, accessible and affordable transportation is an essential factor in encouraging participation.

SEAJETS made a significant contribution to this year’s success by offering substantial travel discounts to participants travelling to and from Andros. In doing so, the company made it easier for athletes, accompanying guests and visitors to reach the island, while actively supporting the impressive turnout recorded this year.

Equally remarkable was the involvement of the Andros community itself. More than 350 volunteers supported the three-day event, assisting along trails, at refreshment stations, and at starting and finishing points, playing a vital role in its successful organisation.

Three years on a shared journey

SEAJETS’ support of the Andros Challenge & Festival for the third consecutive year forms part of the company’s broader philosophy of consistently supporting events and initiatives that promote sport, culture and the local communities of the Greek islands.

Over these three years, the event has continued to grow, enrich its programme and attract an increasingly diverse audience, while keeping Andros, its people and everything that makes the island unique at the heart of its identity.

The continuation of this partnership is particularly meaningful because its impact extends beyond the days of the festival itself. It contributes to attracting visitors, engaging the local community and showcasing a different side of Andros.

Initiatives that bring people to the Greek islands, encourage local communities to participate and highlight the unique character of each destination, are initiatives worth supporting for the long term. SEAJETS will continue to stand alongside them, offering its support in meaningful and tangible ways.
